Meet The Board Members

Carl Banks

Carl is a former linebacker who played in the NFL from 1984-1995. Carl played with the NY Giants and has 2 Superbowl championships with them. He was an All Pro selection, he is  a member of the NFL 1980’s All Decade Team and  a also voted to the NY Giants Ring of Honor. Carl is currently a partner with the G-III Apparel Group, which has the Carl Banks signature apparel line. He is also an announcer for the NY Giants on WFAN and Sirius NFL Radio. Carl was a very dear friend and mentor to Jordan. Jordan referred to him as “Uncle Carl”.

Larry Miller

Larry is the President of the Jordan Brand at Nike. Larry has held various Senior Management positions at Nike since 1997.  Larry served as the President of the Portland Trailblazers from 2007-2012. Larry is a very dear friend of both Jordan Krakauer and Fran Boller and has known the family for over 20 years.

Tom Boller

Tom Boller is the founder of API Systems and has served as President since the inception of the Company in 1991. Tom was responsible for overseeing the Company’s transition to a full-service IT consultancy.  API currently employs IT professionals in more than 20 states as well as in Europe and Asia.  API Systems currently serves a number of Fortune 500 companies in the pharmaceutical and telecommunications industries.  Tom founded the company on the belief that providing an exceptional customer experience is paramount, and that vision drives API today.  Tom graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Jack Haddad

Jack Haddad is the President of Haddad Brands, a privately held family business with over 60 years of experience.  Haddad Brands focuses on children’s apparel and accessories. Representing iconic brands such as Nike, Jordan, Levi’s, Converse, and Hurley, Haddad is an industry leader on a steep growth curve.  Their distribution covers over 100 countries. Jack earned his BS in Finance from NYU in 1981. 

Rick Mina

Rick Mina has held the positions of President and CEO of both Foot Locker and Champs Sports and serves on the Board of Directors for API Systems, Inc.  Rick Mina is recognized as a global business leader, spearheading growth and profitability for a Fortune 500 company through the opening of new markets on three continents to American retailing.  He has a track record of building enterprise value resulting in high level buyouts.   He currently serves as President of the venture investment firm Clearview Retail Holdings and as a Director for the Villa athletic specialty retail venture.  Rick is currently the President and CEO of Active Ride, a chain of skate spextitly retail stores.  Mina has a Bachelor of Science degree in business from Fordham University.

Fran Boller

Fran is the Executive Vice President for the Nike/Jordan Brands licensed under the Haddad Apparel Group.  Prior to this position, Fran was the Apparel Business Director for Brand Jordan at Nike.  Before joining Nike, Fran was the Vice President of the men’s division at the G-III Apparel Group.  Fran’s expertise lies in product design and development, merchandising, marketing, brand management and licensing.

Fran is the founder of The Jordan Memorial Scholarship and is dedicated to carrying on her son Jordan’s memory and legacy through providing tuition assistance to a college student in Jordan’s name. 

Ron Krakauer

Ron was an attorney in private practice with over 40 years of law experience. Ron was admitted in both New York and California. Ron is Jordan’s father and a founding member of the JBK scholarship fund.  Very unfortunately, Ron passed away this past year, leaving another void in our family's hearts.  His charisma and charm like his son Jordan's was unrivaled, and will be missed immeasurable.
